Which are the best make & type. I Have been disappointed with the quality of wipe on the n/s the of my fiat ducato, if it were lhd even worse!!!! Where the screen bends they leave a very patchy smear! Any opinions for source and advice welcome.
Aug 7, 2009. #13. Sure enough dealer diagnosed wiper motor is duff. Surprised me that with such an apparently common fault they don't hold a spare. Anyway this unreliable part will now cause my car to be off the road for 4 days. A car such as a Punto is not roadworthy without functional windscreen wipers.
however i've been having an increased number of problems: 1) sticking wipers. 2) passenger headlight cluster. 3) heater blower. all of the above work intermittently when i hit a bump or rough surface, which further proves deckchair's assumption of a dodgy earthing point. all fuses are fine and battery is in tip top condition.
I'm having a bit of a kerfuffle. The indicators don't work. Here's what I know: The wiring to the indicators is untouched, undisturbed. All 4 bulbs work via the hazard flasher switch. The 15a fuse works ok- tested, subsituted etc. I have just fitted additional headlights and new spotlights- all work fine and are not wired up with the indicators.
I have an '02 Ducato and had to replace the washer pump and horn, on mine its a 15 minute job to take off the large front bumper for ease of access to both of them. 4 small screws holding the "Fiat" cross bar under the bonnet catch, one bolt each side under the wheel arch (at the end of small "retaining" bars) and two larger bolts under plastic caps at front.
2. Jul 14, 2013. #1. Hiyo, I bought a new Fiat 500 Pop and drove it home yesterday. It rained last night and I used the windscreen wipers for the first time and while they work rather well, they are awfully loud and seem to get stuck and skip as they move across the windscreen.
